The FSCA Rural Operations course is tailor-made for those who dream of entering the fast-paced world of anti-poaching, security, and contracting in Southern Africa*. Prepare yourself for a high-octane training package that will see students receive accredited firearm and first aid training, and gain the knowledge and experience required to work in anti-poaching and high-risk rural environments of Southern Africa.
*Please note: Only RSA Nationals are legally allowed to carry firearms in South Africa.
Students will be taken through the six-week training to become highly skilled rural security officers, capable of tackling a wide range of challenges in Southern Africa’s rugged countryside. Whether it’s anti-poaching efforts, safeguarding mines, conducting deep reconnaissance missions, or performing high-risk search and rescue operations, this course will empower you with the essential skills needed to excel in non-permissive rural environments.
FSCA bring you the best of the best, as modern-day Elite and Special Forces Operators from global militaries and police forces will be your instructors. Through their extensive knowledge and expertise, they will transfer cutting-edge Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) directly to you. At FSCA, we understand that security threats are constantly evolving, which is why we’ve revamped outdated modules to create a training environment that reflects the challenges of today.
The FSCA Rural Operations Course – Introduction
This is a gruelling six-week training course for professionals, not a week-long “PMC Operator” experience offered by some organisations in Europe. The course is Pass or Fail.
In today’s security industry, the ability to effectively navigate and operate in rural environments holds paramount importance, considering that over 80% of South Africa’s land mass falls under this category. At FSCA, we recognise the significance of rural operations and have designed a specialized course to cater to this need.
Our Rural Operations course goes beyond the ordinary, delivering premium, high-end, and professional tactical training. Drawing from FSCA’s extensive experience in conducting real-life Rural Security Operations, we offer up-to-date tactics that are relevant in the 21st century. We understand that modern-day threats require modern-day solutions, encompassing advanced technology, cutting-edge techniques, and comprehensive training.
Led by our team of experienced and qualified instructors, FSCA ensures an unparalleled training environment that is demanding and true to reality. This course will test your physical and mental capabilities, serving as a pass-fail evaluation. Dedication and motivation are crucial for success, as the standards are set high. However, we emphasize fairness in our assessments, providing clear and achievable criteria to gauge your progress.
Prepare to master the basics to an exceptional level before progressing to advanced rural and anti-poaching skills. Your abilities will be put to the test through highly realistic simulations and exercises that replicate real-world missions. Engage in force-on-force scenarios, endure multi-day full mission profiles, and conquer an incredibly demanding “Final Ex” that proves your proficiency in safely and effectively operating in arduous rural environments. Only upon successfully completing all tests, examinations, and the “Final Ex” will you be awarded your certificate of completion and the prestigious Rural Operations badge.

Food & Accomodation
During field exercises and training scenarios, we acknowledge that students will be immersed in challenging outdoor environments. To ensure their comfort and well-being, luxury lodge-style accommodations will be provided when they are not in the field.
Our lodge is nestled in the untouched beauty of the African bushveld, offering breathtaking views of South Africa’s natural wonders. Here, students can unwind and rejuvenate amidst pristine surroundings. Additionally, all meals will be meticulously prepared for students during their stay at the lodge.
However, it is important to note that during field exercises or while on exercise, meals will be provided in the form of ration packs, commonly known as MREs. These convenient and portable meals are designed to sustain students’ nutritional needs while they focus on their training and exercises.
At FSCA, we prioritize your comfort and nutritional requirements, ensuring a balance between immersive field experiences and moments of relaxation in a picturesque lodge setting.
